The Poor and Rich
One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose of showing his son how poor people can be. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family. On their return from the trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?" "It was great, Dad.""Did you see how poor people can be?" the father asked. "Oh yeah," said the son. "So what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father
The son answered, "I saw that we have one dog and they have four.We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us and they have friends to protect them."
With this, the boy's father was speechless. Then his son added, "Thanks, Dad, for showing me how poor we are."
Too many times we forget what we have and concentrate on what we don't have. That is one person's worthless object is another's prize possession. It is all based on one's perspective. Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks to God for the bounty we have been provided by Him instead of worrying about wanting more.

Verse Reference and Definitions
Paul Washer talks about the Prosperity Gospel in First Part of the 15 minute Video.
Paul Washer talks with regard to the Prosperity Gospel preachers who tell Carnal men they can have the good life now. Live now; die tomorrow. No salvation is necessary. The promise life is here on earth. Joel Olstein, with the largest Prosperity Gospel church, published a book on his version of Prosperity Gospel called "Your Best Life Now". Paul Washer begins saying he doesn't care about your best life. Paul Washer says that if thousands upon thousands of Prosperity Gospel followers die now before having Jesus in them, Born Again, they will go to Hell. It is a sense of urgency from Paul Washer that I have never heard before. He is shook up and extremely concerned. Anyone who accepts the Prosperity Gospel, which focuses on wealth, power, and the flesh world, instead of Jesus, will be condemned.
John Piper talks about the Prosperity Gospel in the The Second Part of the Video
John Piper was hurt and angry when Joel Olstein, preacher of Prosperity Gospel, took parts of the Bible to create huge Christian churches preaching the Prosperity Gospel that man need not accept Jesus, be born again, but rather obtain riches beyond their dreams by the acceptance of God. The Prosperity Gospel preachers claim to be the salt of the earth. Get your rewards now. Get what you desire now as carnal men. No persecution, rebutting and as natural people with no salvation, just enjoy this life; the here and now. They manipulated Matthew 5:11-16 and John Piper points out this would mean 1 Corinthians 2:14 makes no sense at all.
This doctrine is spreading worldwide and to all the missionary countries. Governments are now refusing missionaries of sound Gospel to enter.
Paul Washer More on Prosperity Gospel 3rd Part of the Video
Paul Washer compares the Prosperity Gospel members to wolves and their God is their belly. But they look like sheep. He goes on to talk about false teachers. They are not just spreading false teachings. They are God's judgement on people who don't want God. The carnal men get the earthly things they want and that raises the Prosperity Gospel churches up to thousands upon thousands of carnal men. The Prosperity Gospel doesn't have a ministry of reprove, rebuke, exhort from 2 Timothy 4:1-4, they teach they have a ministry of love, implying Jesus does not have a ministry of love because Jesus reproved (assertively chastise us), rebuked (reprimand), and exhorted (severely scold). Paul Washer reiterates that men are not so much a victim of false profits as false profits are the judgement of God upon men who don't want God.
Because of the Prosperity Gospel taking advantage of their citizens, Paul Washer has been told in many places now by their Governments to tell the people back in North America, "please don't send any more missionaries".
John McArthur talks about some of the details of Joel Olstein's Book on the Final Part of the Video.
John McArthur, on the last part of the video, talks of the largest Prosperity Gospel church of Joel Olstein with over 10,000 members. John McArthur goes through the book "Your Best Life Now" and explains the flaws in Joel Olstein's book and the manipulation of the Bible. According to John McArthur, the Prosperity Gospel follows the path of Satan: temptation of lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and pride of life.
